With over 70 years of experience, Imper Italia
has reached a high level of knowledge and skill in waterproofing
technology. The production of bitumen/polymer membranes, a field
where Imper Italia gained leadership, has helped the research and
development of synthetic materials, including Thermoplastic PolyOlefins
(TPO).
The latest polymerisation process enables the incorporation of uncured
ethylene propylene rubber into a polypropylene matrix, resulting
in Flexible Polypropylene Alloy (FPA), a flexible,
totally inert TPO technopolymer which offers the high performance
of conventional elastomers while allowing heat welded field seams.
Constant research focused on developing the most appropriate systems
to meet customers' requirements while being fully environmentally
friendly.
This research enabled the technicians at Imper Italia's rubberfuse
division to develop Sintofoil, a new generation of TPO/FPA waterproofing
membranes. Launched in 1995, rubberfuse was a total
newcomer on the waterproofing market. At that time, some pioneers
were prompt to see the advantages offered by TPO/FPA systems and
joined us to participate in the development of that high quality
product.
Today, rubberfuse has become the choice partner
for advanced, environmentally friendly waterproofing solutions.
TPO/FPA systems have been succesfully installed in Austria, Belgium,
Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Holland,
Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia,
Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United Arab Emirates,
United Kingdom and Vietnam.
